Shameless

Out of interest, who is, and isn't, a fan?

Only I'm watching season 4 now, and it's superb in places, and generally
at least good, and yet *lots* of people seem to hate it with a passion.
I liked the first three seasons much more than the fourth.
Season 1 was fantastic, but then Paul Abbot stopped writing it. Season 2
was OK at best, season 3 was so bad I gave up and didn't bother watching
season 4.

I'd strongly recommend going back and starting from the beginning, it's
much much better.
Oh I've seen the previous series, and agree.

I just kind of like it. Not really sure why, now I come to think about
it.
Never even heard of it, let alone seen it.
I'm a fan, a big fan and tried to prompt ukrm to test it a
long time ago.

Sad to see the quality tail off after the first season, but
that was indeed top stuff.

"Shameless is an offbeat British comedy drama television series set in
the fictional Chatsworth Estate in Manchester, England."

Hmm, so it's like "Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps" only not
as funny?
I'ver never seen Shameless, but there's a strange attraction to "Janet"
out of 2 pints. Is there an equivalent in Shameless?
Karen was quite dirty:
Retard TV at it's worst.

I hate it.
What he said. We've stuck with it through the last series but it lost
quite a lot after the first two, the first was by far the best. Watching
Shameless followed by No Angels was by far the TV highlight of the week.

Skins was a poor follow up, not looked to see if Paul Abbot was involved
in writing that, but I seem to remember a "by the producers of
Shameless" plug when it first came out.
