OT:Honest folk (longish)
|
A little story just to prove there are some honest folk out there.
|
The ones who don't cheat on their spouses?
|
Ben, it's all in the past now, let it go.
|
|
Espousal of conventional marriage from you? even TIC that's too much to
believe.
It's outdated, outmoded and amounts to nothing more than modern day
slavery or a refuge for the truly ugly/feckless

I parked my car as usual in the industrial estate this morning, and
walked to work. I get to work and can't find my phone, spent all day
wondering if I have left it 'visible' in my car and I'm going to come
back to shattered glass.
Get back to the car after work and everything is Ok, but no sign of
phone, under the seats etc.Oh well must have left it at home this
morning.
I get home and start doing the usual searches, nothing. I know I'll
try the 'phone the phone and see whether I can hear it ringing'
trick. This is when I discover I've got a message on my home phone.
Guy who works in one of industrial units had spotted my phone *under*
my car- god knows how it got there. Found my 'home' number and let me
know he had my phone and can I call him to get it back.
He knew the shops round the corner from me so said he would meet me
there. So I've just come back from being reunited with my phone.
The guy was only about 17 and he said he hoped someone would do the
same for him- I bunged him a tenner which he very reluctantly took.
|
Well it's a novel way to meet new people, I'll give you that.
|
|
A tenner seems to be the going rate for a returned phone! At least,
that was what I accepted when I found someone's phone.
|
When my phone was returned I gave the bloke a ?9 note.
Seemed happy.
|
What's a nine question note?
|
|
|
Now to check tomorrow that I did tell the phone insurance people I
changed my phone last Nov...
