my annual insurance thread

Ebike have just emailed my renewal quote. £111, full comp inc. legal
expenses & UK breakdown. £50 extra for European breakdown cover.
I noticed a huge increase in this at my renewal in Jan.
It was only =A330 last year but was =A350 this year. Needless

I'm old, and my insurance is still a bit over 300 quid.
As a percentage of replacement, I'm sure it's no different?
Mebbe. Mind you, I doubt my 10R is worth much of 5k now. What's your
Probably not much in insurance terms, tbh. I wouldn't get
too much if I sold it and it's far too nice to do that anyway.
Something like 3.5 - 4k tops I would think.

748 worth?

It's probably collectable by now!
Probably is.
I'm older.
It's probably no surprise to you that my insurance is dirt
cheap (£93.10) fully comp [1]
It includes 60 days Green Card for EU countries.
I had expected problems because of the age of my bike, but
there were none.

[1] it's no super sport.
Doh! Lynbrook Ins

to say I didn't take it as my policy was only =A3106!

Seems that Auntie Carol, as part of Groupama, has responded to this
competition. Full comp inc. legal cover and Euro breakdown is £123.29.

Auntie Carol it is then.
My renewal quote from Auntie was over £120 more expensive than what I
finished up with after ringing round a few other agencies - strangely,
back at Auntie Carole's again, and using Groupama.

Never pay what they ask on the renewal!
