OT: Songs of Praise (I thought that would attract your interest)

If anyone watches this and knows. The girl who sang "Abide with me"
what on earth is that electronic treatment of her voice called.
I don't watch it, haven't heard her, but I'll be it's a Vocoder.
Tazer? (We can only hope.)
You're talking about Hayley Westenra, I presume? A friend of mine is a
producer on SoP... he tells me that it was a track lifted from her CD,
as opposed to something that the BBC concocted for her. He reckons it
was most likely just a plug-in that the producer used to smooth her
smooth her voice out.

In that case he's a very naughty producer. Never mind the artistic
authenticity. Think of all the biddies fidling frantically with hearing
aids cackling about feedback. He's made me spit coffee in me keyboard now
;-)

voice out.
You're right of course it was HW I have heard some of her stuff in the
past and thought it was over produced, sounds to me like someone who
isn't confident of her own technique.
She seems like a nice girl who has a good voice but is utterly bereft of
personality.
How confident would you think this bloke is Mo?
Nice, very nice.
He seems very confident, it's just misplaced that's all.
You're too kind.
