Boots that aren't hot in the summer

What footwear is available that will give at least some ankle
protection and yet be as comfortable as possible heatwise?
You need some Elvis boots so the sun doesn't bake your feet because of
the color

Alpinestar makes white Elvis boots.

Or you can check these basketball style hightops.

Here in the Atlanta area it gets miserably hot and humid. When you
I wasn't assessing the majority. How did you get that? I'm talking about
one or two squids on a 1 or 2 mile track means more than I see on the
street. I was only talking about track days, not racing.
"I don't care enough about it to argue."

are riding in traffic and your feet feel like they are in a crock pot,
it makes it even more miserable.

Are there any boots made that are mesh or that have air vents or some
such?
I wear Sidi ventilated boots, but I caution you the sizing is odd, best
to try them first.
Are the Sidi's made in Italy? For some reason, they really know how to
built a good boot. The BMW Air Flows are made there and I was really
pleased with the fit, lining, and overall build quality.

I also noticed their clothing is Hungarian made. Stitching is top notch
too. Expensive stuff, but it fits way better than Aerostitch or Motoport
Since when? Shawn and I used to see who's bike could get to 150mph first
down the back straight at Pueblo...and then we'd come into the pits, swap
bikes, ( we had 3 or 4 out that day ) and do it again. Perfectly nice place
to go fast.

His Gixxer1000 street bike was the fastest. But my 750 sure didn't give up
much to literbikes.
That day was $45 for about 5 hours. No sessions. We put probably 100 track
miles on each of 4 bikes that day maybe? Of course, unlike limited street
excursions, about every 110 seconds we were drag racing each other for all
we were worth down that dragstrip. Once you get hooked on that dosage of
speed, its kinda hard to find a single 140mph burst particularly amusing.
Especially on the highway. Especially when you don't get to practice panic
breaking from 150mph+ every 110 seconds as well. The street just don't do it
No need to be a smart ass. You twist my words and I'll call you on it.
Touchy much? I'm not being a smartass, I really don't care. Use
whatever rationale you need to stay off the track and/or not do track
days as, once again, I don't care. If you are looking for fight look
elsewhere.

after a few of those.
I stopped going to CLASS when it passed the $300-$350 mark, I still consider
a decent $130-$190 day not all bad, depending on the track.
I noticed that Talladega did track days a few years back, forget what
organization I was examining at the time. I always have an eye open for
sv650 sized tracks.

I was paying $250 back in 89...how far back have your friends been doing
trackdays?

clothing without the bulk. Fit is snug, but it doesn't flap as much and it
can compress into the bags.
Yeah, my cousins can cook and sew like nobody's business.
I've contemplated getting a pair of ventilated boots. Do you find the
difference in comfort on hot days very noticeable?
Yes, I'd recommend them in general, but the Sidi boots had weak
zipper pulls. Also, I got caught in a sudden downpour once, and they
filled with water. They also need insoles to be good for walking around
in. But they look really cool!
Thanks for the informed opinion.
Anytime. I'm usually the student here.

Thanks for any info,
