WSBK to Indy?

See the last paragraph. I can't figure out what they mean by a "creek"
holding up FIM approval. Does that mean they would change the track, and/or
possibly go outside the oval course? I've been there once and can't
figureout what they mean but I know outside the backstretch there is some
grassy area and I think indeed, a creek.
Going to web-search images and typing in Indianapolis Motor Speedway will bring
up some maps of the track / infield areas. It may be that they're referring
to the water hazard along the infield road course.
I think that is how this was found (from the Indy ng)
It's too bad there's not a better shot to put the creek in perspective with
You can see it on web-search images. The creek is just at the entrance of the
curve on the lower left hand side, going clockwise as the F1 drivers do,
right where the pit lane separates from the race course. It looks like there
is some small drainage ditch feeding into it from the left that parallels
the pit road.
See the link below:
Nice.

OK, so my question is what does MotoGP and/or WSBK want done to the track
which affects this area?

the road course.
