[Q] Touring checklist

Would anyone care to post their checklist of what to bring
(including gear you wear as well as things to pack along) on:

(1) a day tour
Nato socks, boxers, trackpants under Jeans (Levi's), T-shirt,
Sweatshirt, Bike boots, Bike jacket, Helmet ,Gloves.....Wallet.
Only my raingear if it looks like it might rain

(2) a weekend overnighter
As above but with Bike pants instead of jeans/trackpants. Spare T-shirt,
socks, boxers.......Wallet with Credit Card.
Raingear, 1 change of clothes, minimal toletries

(3) a week or more tour
(Oh, to have a WEEK off work......) It would be the same as my
'weekender/overnight' gear with the addition of waterproof overpants and
a sheepskin on the seat.

I don't travel with luggage or camping gear.....thats what the Credit
Card is for. :)

Good luck in your travels.......
4 changes of clothes, raingear, minimal toletries

TIA, Sean_Q_

Planning (1) and (2) and would like to do (3) except that my
work timetable never seems to schedule my vacation days during
the summertime when the livin' is easy.
I do (1) all the time. I think nothing of heading out 250+ miles to go
have coffee with a friend and then heading home. (2) I do quite often.
BIL lives 420 miles away, FIL lives 500 miles away, one daughter lives
380 miles away. Almost any 3 day weekend, I'm off in one of those
directions, or to my visit my mother who lives 250 miles away. (3) I'm
currently doing, but circumstances beyond my control (good friend who
was going to ride with me ripped a ligament in his hand and couldn't
work the clutch on his bike) forced me to load up the bike and haul it
1565 miles to Sturgis instead of the 3500 mile riding trip we had
planned to get here.
Sean, I asked a similar question several weeks ago in the Harley group
and got gobs and gobs of great information. It was fabulous. Maybe
doing a search you can come across it. It was super information. Can't
remember the exact name of the thread, but something to the effect of
addressing it to the ladies on what to pack for longer trips. Super
answers that could apply to anyone. Hope this helps.
