Is it me, or does the present top gear season seem to have been rather
short?
It wasn't on for the last 2 weeks, and tonight is a best-of show.

This is the second time they've done a six-ep series. I think they've
gotten too silly now and it'll be hard to get back on course. They'd
lose viewers if they stopped doing big silly things. Time was they'd
only do a silly feature once a series, or a few small-scale ones,
which gave the show an entertaining edge.
Trouble is people don't want proper road tests anymore, mainly as
they're so boring (NB. 5th gear). Clarkson's said he reckons they
won't be doing another series, though I hope he's wrong. Having said
that, it'd be hard to pull the show back into line without losing
viewers.
I must find that forum where a couple of TG crew members post again...
