So that's that then

Some of you may know that I'd sent an entry in for the TT this year.
It was always going to be marginal as to whether I'd be accepted, and
I've just found out that I've been turned down:
Boo! I was quite looking forward to dragging you out of a ditch.
You'll just have to come and marshal at the MGP then, won't you.
Rats :(
Pah. I've been accepted for a ride on the TAS Suzuki and Ryan Farquhar's
lending me his ZX6R, for both the Manx *and* the TT.
I was refused point blank, they think letting a newcomer win it will
upset too many people. Especially as I'd do so on the ZRX.

"Entries for the solo classes have been significantly oversubscribed
and the overall standard for this year's races is the strongest and
highest it has ever been which has resulted in more entries being
declined."

In some ways I'm slightly relieved - I can concentrate on the Manx GP
now, and don't have to worry about aiming a 195bhp ZX10R superbike
between the hedges!
You're nowhere near good enough. Its simple really.
Well, sort of. Tho my time from the MGP last year would have put me
*just* outside the replicas at the TT.
Bad luck! You coming over regardless?
Presumably if you win the Manx GP they'll have to let you race the TT
next year anyhow ?
In fact, if you win a Manx GP you're not *allowed* to enter it again
(except the classic classes).
