Ian Richardson Down

Suitably timed for a "Who?" quote from both Ace and Champ.
Somebody will have already done the 'couldn't possibly comment' line.

I have 'House of cards' in the pile of stuff to be watched, maybe
later.
You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
Superb series, superb actor. Far too young.
What? At 72? How can that be "far too young"?

I'm not at all sure I want to live long past that.
72? You feeble-minded freak. Are you Fluffy Bunnikins?

Why not, if you still have good health and are compos mentis?
Think of Churchill.

Ossie Neal was still piloting a racing Scott outfit up hill climbs at 80
(anecdotes available).

My old Dad was still walking miles along river banks with a fly rod at
75.

IIRC Surtees is still doing parade laps in his seventies
Yeah yeah, sure. Perhaps I worded it badly. I know a bloke called
Ray Knight, who still rides a GSX-R 1000 on the road and runs the race
school at Jurby .
We saw him spectating at the Ramsey Sprint during the Manx.
He's a lovely chap. He sat in the car round a lap, talking me through
it, while I took notes.

*If* I still had such health, then my attitude would be different.
But it's a pretty big if, isn't it.
As I am somewhat nearer to 70 than you are I have to look on the bright
side.
Heh - good point. "Old is older than me".
I would think Champ will know him, from House of Cards.
Of course I do.
But Sir,

You are forgetting that this is UKRM and
I will Make Stuff Up to suit my own purpose.
Good point, well made.

You big-nosed, web-fingered, sister shagging East Anglian freak [1]

[1] not all of this is made up.
It's not that big!
So it was your sister then?
Well done, Mr Murray.

Love and Kisses,

By a strange coincidence, I just bought a DVDs of House of Cards, To
Play the King, and the Final Cut. Looking forward to watching them -
haven't seen them since they were on telly years ago.
Fuggorf. Of course I knew.
How so? He's only a TV actor.
I'm afraid you can add me to that list too.

Of course, if he had married a multi-billionairess 60 years his senior
I might have done, but hey-ho.
