OT: French bureaucracy explained

Amazing!
I've read much of the functions of the different areas of the brain. Just
goes to show how much like a computer it is though.
Mine must be running OS/2 - difficult to crash, very powerful but not
very user friendly..
The ability to remap is quite astonishing.

Didn't you fancy Chimay BTW? it was worth the effort (hint 2008)
Didn't fancy another weekend in a tent just yet and SOBs aren't really
my bag. Maybe next year, depending.
That's what I've been thinking, but I fancy the sound of drinking beer.
This year's dieppe run also opened my eyes as to what riding the bike
in France is like.
It's great fun (generally - until you break down in the depths of rural
France..)

And the food is good. And sitting in the town square after a good days
riding on near-empty roads with some cold beers after a good meal
watching the pretty people parading by is pretty good too!

The only other downside is their habit of covering freshly resurfaced
roads in 4 cm of gravel and then forgetting to put out the warning
signs. Which can be.. interesting.
And crashed, of course
I should note I already had a fridge full of Chimays Rouge, Blanc and
Bleu.

Operative word being had. Wonder if I've got any spares in the garage...
Only Platy actually walked round the track the rest of us drank and BBQ'd
to our hearts content interspersed with a bit of watching noisy bikes.
I really think we ought to have done the circuit of Chimay drinking at
each beer tent.

There's a 10k circuit next year, so a circuit will *probably* be about
12k which strikes me as a nice walk with plenty of time to flush the
alcohol through one's system. Not sure how many tents there will be but
I'd guess about 10-12? or something like that. Worth considering
seriously.

I'll pack my walking shoes.
