Bikers4Bikers "A chance for bikers to help bikers"
|
We are appealing to bike clubs/individuals to help support our charity
Rock N Ride event. The event will be a held on Saturday 10th June 2006
and will be in 2 parts, firstly a Sponsored Bike Ride leaving
Haddington, East Lothian at 1pm and in the evening a Rock night
featuring "Nitrogen Sky", "Maiden Scotland" (TBC) and 2 other bands.
Proceeds will go to NABD.
Bikers4Bikers was set up by Yvonne Schmitt & Elaine Neill to raise
awareness of motorcycling and motorcyclists with a disability.
A sponsored motorcycle run will start in Haddington with a police
escorted parade through several East Lothian towns before commencing an
unaccompanied ride down to the Borders town of Melrose. After a break
the route will continue back up to the village of Pencaitland where the
riders will be treated to a BBQ. A round trip of 80 miles will have
been completed. Proceeds will go to the National Association of Bikers
with a Disability. A Charity Rock night will take place later in the
evening at The Townhouse in Haddington, featuring live
bands/DJ/Bar/Food/Raffle.
Camping is available a few miles from town but there will be taxi
shuttles to gig. Price tbc.
We aim to get 100+ bikes on the run and hope to have pro bike
racers/celebs helping us out on the day. If your club or even some
individuals would be interested in taking part, we would love to hear
from you as soon as possible. Please find attatched a poster and
