So, being unable to make darsy's birthday bash[1], I wandered across to
TM Lewin's in Cheapside for some emergency shirts.

Oddly enough I wandered to TM Lewin at Leadenhall. For a similar
reason.
Where are you based, then?

Are they any good? I need some new shirts since I appear to have ingrown
my current crop.

On the way back I saw a scooter-boi rounding a traffic island on the
wrong side. Which would have worked well, had there not been a

90% of scooterists do that in London. I can only imagine that plod
don't bother to prosecute for it anymore.

I hope not. *I* do it 2 or 3 times a week.

DozyPedestrian(tm) yapping into a mobile, crossing the road and looking
the 'right' way.
There was a mild coming-together.
Then it got all growly and "COME ON THEN, D'YOU WANT SOME?".
Hugely amusing from the audience perspective.
London does have its plus points.
[1] There was a slight case of "Why is that process grabbing 300Mb of
cache when it accesses the first file?" to deal with...
