French Film

A short documentary (10 minutes) about Fabrice Miguet racing a Voxan at
the TT. A lot of French chit-chat, but a few rare shots of him in action
on Pahnd Island - what music! Note the special engineer's headgear.

I met him in July and shared a track with him at Charade and Mas du
Clos. This video was shown at the VCF AGM . A real character.
I am looking forward to him racing the VCF owned 'prototype' at the TT
next year.

For Champ's benefit, his race average was 106.25
KPH? ;^)
Would still be quicker than the Peugeots in the 1924 Senior ;-)
Is he a newcomer? Even if not, that seems a good pace on a Voxan, but
particularly impressive if a newcomer.
A quick check of the TT database reveals the following (all race
averages):

1999 Production ZXR900 106.63
2002 Production 750GXSR 110.2
2003 Junior Yamaha 110.5
2003 Production Suzuki 112.85
2004 Year of the Voxan 106.25
2005 Voxan broke :-(
2006 Senior 1000 Suzuki 113.46

Seems to have found his way round OK pretty quickly.

He failed to finish in 2005 but his Voxan mate Marc Granie managed
105.536. Can't be certain but I think he was a newcomer.

Not bad on machines that usually only produce 100Bhp.
If they were 'tuned' I doubt they could have got them up to much more
than 130 bhp.
