Radiator brace or guard - which is better?

Water cooling on a dirtbike - who ever came up with such a silly idea?

Now that I have a steam-powered bike, I have to decide between Devol
Extereme radiator guards, which cover the radiator front with a grate,
or a radiator brace, like what Works Connection puts out. According
to the parts guy, you can't use them both at the same time. Works
connection also sells a "Radiator Cage" which looks like a
reinforcement box that goes around the outside of the radiator.

I like the Devol grate thing, but it doesn't look like it will keep
the radiator from twisting. The brace looks like it will give the
radiator good support, but doesn't protect the front. Which
compromise offers better overall protection?
Cage! Definitely.

The end.
Excellent question. Let me know when you find the answer.

Personally, a sturdy gas tank with wings aroung the radiator is the best
answer. :-)

A guy last weekend had the finest billet guards you could buy. The
excellent side protection did squat when he clocked a log from the front.
What you need is some kind of cage for side protection, with some type of
brace for front impact protection.
