Anyone seen one of these?

What the AWD people don't seem to understand it that maximum traction occurs
when the front wheel is off the ground!

Yeah, but no more front-end washouts.
Why it'd be perfect for me is I like to creep around and leave no trace
I've been somewhere. This'd let me climb some godawful hills and leave
no trace.

Yes I've seen it and may ride one soon.
You can see the extra chain go up into the frame next to the gas tank.
From there it's shaft drive to the triple clamp area geared to a telescopic
driveshaft which is paralel to the forks and drives a gearset in the front
hub.
Trail Rider tested it a couple years ago and had positive words.
