2006 champion?
|
With 3 races to go who do you think will be the 2006 champ?
|
Hayden is discovering that the FIM points structure doesn't
reward consistancy as much as the AMA does. The points
spread between consecutive positions is greater until you get
down to 5th to 6th when both go to 1 point per position. AMA
does it at 4th to 5th actually.
He has proven to me that he doesn't have what it takes to
beat Rossi, despite having the best bike in the earlier part
of the season. He and the team seem to have gotten out
in the weeds with it, and the clutch, and they haven't
been able to pull off Rossi/Burgess race day warmup
miracles. And Hayden seems incapable of pulling the
trigger and turning off his brain when that's all that will
win the day.
Oh well. Sorry Nicky, my money's on Rossi. If you
and the team don't figure out the clutch, you might
not even end second. If you do figure it out, you still
need to beat Rossi.
Even when Pedrosa helps out (if he has the chance to
do it nonchalantly).
1. Rossi
2. Hayden
3. Capirossi
Go fast. Take chances.

I think Rossi will get it, but it could be a close call for 2nd, if Melandri
has a strong last 3 races which is very possible and Hayden has poor
results, once again possible then Mel could steal 2nd from Hayden. A poor
result from Rossi and Hayden could even see Mel come out number 1, you just
never know, however my predictions are
1: Rossi
2:Hayden
3: Melandri

Before Motegi I would have said Hayden for the championship. After
Motegi I say Rossi will get it. If the next race is a repeat of this
one, then they'll be pretty well even stevens, and that would be it
more or less.
Just to be different, I'm going to predict that LC will continue his
form and beat Melandri.
1: Rossi
2: Hayden
3: Capi

I think Nicky will pull it off by a hair's breath. Rossi will outrace
him in these last three, but not by enough, simply because others
(Melandri and Capirossi) look good. 7 points per race is pretty
tough. And while I'm a Rossi fan, I couldn't really complain if Nicky
takes it.

I would, and so would Nicky.A Champion by default, not even Nicky would
be proud of himself. If he won fair and square ok, but to win by others
mechanical-failures,for mine is a unworthy Champion.
Rossi has lost around 70 points through no fault his own.2 engine
failures and tyre problems.[Lest he rides the machine to 100%+]
For mine i am looking at a Italian Trifecta, with Rossi/Marco/Loris in
that order
Loris will win in Japan regardless

W O W !!!!
Right on the money........

Rossi to win, Hayden will hold 2nd rather easily, and I'm leaning toward
Pedrosa for 3rd. They're out on the warmup lap now, and if Nicky loses
five points or more in this race, then Rossi, if Nicky beats him, then
Nicky.
