Underground railway service: Glos <-> Beds
As title - I'm travelling from Gloucestershire to Bedfordshire and
back this weekend. If anybody needs anything moving twixt the two,
drop me a line.
If you could pick up the intervening counties and deposit them somewhere to
the east of Flitwick then I'd be very grateful. It would foreshorten my
journey on Sunday quite nicely.
If you could pick up my storage heater and take it Beds then bring it
Leave Flitwick alone.
you don't want the Cotswolds outside your front door then?
It's not bad here now, the Cotswolds might be OK but can we select which
bits. I have to discuss it with Pip, the Mayor of Flitwick.
I remember bits of Flitwick blowing up.
Not in your lifetime. ITYF that was just down the road at Westoning,
when an errant petrol tanker decided to turn a couple of cottages into a
garage, for as long as it took for them to blow up.
There's a nice row of newish terraced houses built there now.
So it was. September 1976. For some reason, I had it recalled as
Flitwick.
back that would be perfect.
Getting it out of the way'll give me chance to sort the garage
I am getting to the stage of needing a wheel belonging to a certain
darsy of this parish moving londonwards from J1 of the M69...
I'm sorry I'll read that again:
"What? You've got a wheel for Darsy *as well*?"
Simian has still got a ZX7 one for you. But we agreed he'd ebay it
and we'd split the proceeds.
I suspect darsy is cornering the world market in unwanted wheels...
If you'd have said "spare" rather than "unwanted", I'd have been up
for that challenge
given that I don't have a ZX7R, that's perfectly acceptible...
Someone needing 7R wheels?
there appear to be too many of the things already.
So if anyone is ever passing in a southerly direction...
Have you sorted that out yet?
I'm on my way North up the M1 tomorrow afternoon and could be somewhere
around there at about 2pm.
I'll be coming back down on Monday (at an un-Godly hour), but only as
far as Milton Keynes.
Maybe Lozzo and The Pixies could help after that? (I don't mind taking
it over to Pixieland).
Not sorted yet - want to email me? simes at wafer dot org dot uk.
I can store it here and Darsy can make arrangements from his end. If he
wants I have an RGV race single seat unit and front wheel that may be of
use as well.
My RGV already has full race bodywork, including a single seat unit,
but I might be interested in the front wheel - has it got carriers and
disks, or just the wheel?
Just the wheel, no discs at all. I bought it for the discs cos they fit=20
Bandit 600s. =A325 and I'll throw in the seat unit FOC.
thanks, but no thanks - I've just remembered that the wheel Simes has
for me is a front (I thought it was a rear earlier).
Ok, I'll lob them on eBay this weekend along with the 2 boxloads of=20
assorted bike parts gathering dust in the back of my garage.
I don't believe I ever paid you for that, did I?
I don't think you did. Not that I mind sponsoring your racing old
bean. I can't even remember what bike it's for - RS250??
RGV250. I don't actually race the thing, just track-days. If you can
remember how much I owe you, bung me your bank details by email and
I'll sort it out.
It's a fetching purple.
that'll go nicely with the blue and yellow paint job.
