California Riders: How did you do it??



How did you guys get lane splitting legal in California? I can't
imagine selling such a concept to car drivers in any other state.
After learning the technique in California cities, I'd try it every
now and then in other states, with the inevitable result of people
I just checked Alaska -
A motor vehicle can't share a lane with a motorcycle.
A motorcycle can't pass a motor vehicle in the same lane.
Not more than two motorcycles can ride abreast in the same lane.

getting by. I quickly stopped those experiments! These days I pretty
much resign myself to putzing through Seattle traffic like any other
schmuck on four wheels..
It's not that it is legal in CA.. A more accurate description is that it
is NOT illegal.

According to a long-time MA State Police friend, they normally term lane
splitting as "Driving To Endanger."
