Another Close Encounter With A Deer

I've got no video this time.

So very early Tuesday morning (or late Monday night if you prefer), I
went for a ride. I just had that urge. Anyway, I stopped for fuel on
the way home after the ride. The second left out of the fuel station,
a deer bolted out of the trees (where my headlamp refused to
illuminate).

Well this is beginning to get tiresome. If my video was running it
may not have seen the deer. The animal ran out onto the road. It was
so close to me that I swerved rather than braked. I mean it was
already even with my front wheel anyway, so I tried to give it some
room.

Somehow the animal realized it was on a bad path and reversed course
back into the trees.

I was only going about 35 mph, so the swerve was an easy maneuver. It
did help a bit that because of the hour there was no other traffic and
I had the entire road to work with.

My appreciation for these magestic animals is continuing to decline.

Oh, the past two days there was a group of five bucks, one with six
points, eating in my lawn. You can not imagine the temptation I had
to take the whole lot out. Or at least try to.
Your yard is big enough to get yer bike going that fast? ;)
Wouldn't that have hurt your bike ? :-)
Q: What would you call a deer with no eyes?

A: I have no eye-deer.
