a question on your choice in bikes.
|
I notice that in the past there has been debate on which is better,
crouch rocets or cruisers.
|
Its not a debate when the answer is known. Let alone in the title of the NG
itself.

This is a baiting thread. Just look at the groups it's X-posted to.

I have always found it kinda odd since I feel boths bikes suit my
needs.
|
Good for you. I happen to like dual sports myself.
|
When I go on long trips I pull out my copper and for most of my riding
in the city my 89 ninja foots the bill. I would not want to ride my
chopper in city conditions on a reguler basic(not as fast or
manuverable) and i would not want to ride 200+ miles on my ninja.
I wonder if there are others who like sports bikes AND traditional
bikes.

Of course. But this isn't alt.couch.potatoes.on.wheels, its AMS. So the

Don't blame me for the cross posting, I simply allow the original locations
to continue flowing through and assume its AMS specific, I really don't
worry about the other groups, they can fend for themselves.

general "bent" should be obvious. And it means we reserve the right to make
fun of everyone else.

and for those who only like one or the other what is the reason?
|
I try to have one of each, excluding cruiser-loungers of course. For
some reason I can't ride with my feet at armpit level, and my arms
extended like the statue of liberty/

That reminds me....
Sitting at the local restaurant here they had orange county choppers
playing on the TV...any they were actually riding bikes for
once...with a seating position like you are describing...
I found it interesting that the road they were riding on couldn't have
been more straight. I mean seriously, there wasn't even the most
minute bend to be seen for miles in any direction...
I didn't know it is possible to make roads that straight...that road
made florida look like the twisties...
