Vintage Motorcycles

There ain't no stinkin' ABS on this lot!

For example, a bicycle with a 442cc motor up high between the
riders knees and a belt-drive arrangement from that position down
to the back wheel. Noice!
Gotta love the wooden bars 'n rims... Hate to think what state those cork
grips would be in after a few days of gloveless use though.
442cc seems pretty serious for such a setup, thinking of booting over 500cc
bikes.
Guessing compression is maybe 5 or 6 to 1 ?
And maybe 5 hp. When I did a rebuild on my 1957 500cc BSA, I replaced the
old 6.5:1 pistons with the "high compression" 7.25:1 jobbies. Woohoo!
Talking about vintage motorcycles from somewhere off in the near future?
Oh the irony.

If I start saving now, I might be able to afford one before i die, if I live
to around 100 :-)
