Bike prices

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but last night I was wandering
online through some new dealer inventory checking out prices on various dual
sports and such, and I happened to bump into some GoldWing prices.

Please someone tell me I didn't see a $23G Goldwing? Please tell me they
Mercy me... 23K for a Leadwing... suddenly a 27K RC45 ain't all that bad...
considering how much of a real race bike you're getting... not to mention yearly
which makes any 2006 Suzuki GSXR1000 look even better than underpowered 3
generation back technology.

Myself, I'm still upset that literbikes are growing in weight again, and new
technologies are still headed for more power rather than giving me the next
sportbike I might buy, which is a 400 pound wet weight, 100HP, XXXcc
something or another.
Is that because you're growing in weight too???

Have a wheelie NICE day...
Lean & Mean it in every corner of your life...
If it wasn't for us the fast lane would rust...
V4'S are music to the seat of my pants...
1952 De Havilland Chipmunk...
Yank and bank your brains loose...

I think its time for Honda to do to the middleweight class what it did to
the literbikes back in 92. And no...I don't care if its a V4 or not.

appreciations...
I've never had a bike that appreciated in value.
Maybe the Kawi will, since I bought it for $400.00.

aren't that ridiculous? Its been years since I knew of Goldwing prices, I
Nope. Way back in the day, when I weighed maybe 10 pounds ( or 20? ) less
than I do now ( comparative lightweight that I am ), say, early -90's, I was
introduced to the FZR400.

I then fell in love with the concept that light makes right. I then
purchased the 900RR and decided that, yes indeedy, light made right even
with bigger bikes.

Since then, I have migrated towards lighter bikes, and am currently
considering light/small bikes versus barco loungers like what Saddle bought.

The sv650 does good. Its light, it turns, but it isn't the razor sharp blade
the FZR400 was. So thats what I want, a modern FZR400, except maybe with a
600, 650cc engine, twin or 4 doesn't matter, etc etc.
RS250?

Superbike spec SV650?

I don't disagree with what you've done at all larry, I wish I could fall for
a single bike with as much enthusiasm as you've got, but ever since that
FZR400 I've been looking for modern technology to be applied to a modern
version, which weighs 390 pounds soaking wet with a full tank, makes 100HP,
modern running gear, a blade so sharp it'll draw blood just LOOKING at it,
let alone slamming into tight corners at bizarre entrance speeds. I suppose
More power needed.
Even if you replace the street motor with the race kit?

Yeah but I'd have to create it myself. I want to ride, not make a bike. How
Au contrare.
The instant people start boring things up and "race prepping" them, I want
nothing to do with it. I want something which comes with the usual, 100K
easy Honda/Yamaha/Kawasaki/Suzuki reliability, muffled the way bikes are
supposed to be, etc etc.

Just give me an sv750 which weighs 30 pounds less, I'll be happy.

about an sv750, with the same lightweight bent that the 650 has, except with
a decent suspension this time and real rear wheel size? Doesn't even need
plastic if it retains enough of the 650's performance and character for its
size.

I could make one, if I were as talented at building stuff as you, but my
interests lie more to the riding than wrenching/designing/constructing, I
want the basics dropped in front of me just like that FZR400 was, and then I
can take the final step or two to make it a lethal instrument in the hands
of a porker, elding rapidly sportbike rider.

just assumed they were mid to high teens, still, and last night was the
first time I saw 2007 pricing.

Couldn't believe it.

Suddenly those $13G's Ulysses and FJR's and ST1300's don't look all that bad
for the amount of bike you get.
I saw one of the GoldWings with airbags. Geez....
