It's only an Eaton ...

Ewok down.

On the A1(M)/M25 junction at 07:30.
I guess the V-Max was spooked by a slight curve in the road ahead then.

GWS WUN.
Clumsy cahn.

GWS that Eaton fella

Sounds like the Max is pretty mangled, languishing in a storage yard
in Stevenage pro tem.
Don't let it languish too long. Those storage places usually charge about
£12 a day.
'Tis a sorry predicament for a Max.
Perhaps uprated brakes would be a good upgrade for future models.

WUN is languishing in Barnet General, with a broken wrist, cuts and
Not sure of correct form here, so I've been in two minds about saying
anything at all, but then I thought sod it, I wouldn't want to see this
happen to a fellow traveller, stranger or not.
So have a GWS from me too.

bruises. They'll operate on his wrist soon, so he'll at least get
some titanium from the NHS.
Urgh. GWS and all that. In France, when the cops arrive at the accident,
the first thing they do is to fine you for "lack of control of the
vehicle" (really). French bikers tend to leave the place of crash
quickly by their own means and check they are not leaving any limb or
head behind, just in case it could be used to track them.
I love the French sense of humour when it comes to bureaucracy and
paperwork.
GWS. If anyone is in contact with WUN, please pass it on.
Oh arse. For the record I don't want any of the contents of his garage
should his limp wrist get worserer.
Oops. GWS WUN. He was saying how well the Max handled. Or something similar.
If he thinks that a V-Max handles then it's hardly surprising he hit
summat, silly sod.
It'll be the best handling bike in his fleet, or rather was.
Erk! Pass on a GWS from me.
The clumsy cnut. Pass on a GWS from me, willya?
"Wounded Uncle Nigel"
Heh! I got some of that in my collar bone.
GWS WUN.
It appears that Nigel is the only one who hasn't made it to the
hotel. Bad luck Nigel, but I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that
you pain and suffering hasn't been wasted as you have provided a point
of conversation for us here in our (many) idle moments.

I hope you get back to your normal state of health swiftly and with as
little pain as possible. We're missing you. Get well soon.
I have a suspicion he may have to make do with stainless steel.
No carbon fibre?

As an aside, Cane lost his tail pack from the back of the Blade on the
On the autoroute a couple of miles from Calais docks. The muppet hadn't
put the strap under the pillion perch, so once he gathered speed it took
off and launched itself towards my front wheel, just behind. A couple of
people had to swerve to avoid lunching it courtesy of Cane's bag of
pants.

Fortunately we stopped to check and found the only thing holding his
panniers on had been the tailpack. Cue some emergency bungee-surgery to
avoid a repeat performance, a fruitless loop back to find the tailpack,
and a thrash down the N1 for afters.

way across, but apparently there's plenty of shops over there that
sell tight black Tshirts and thongs, so he'll be OK.
Arse. GWS, I may need some more bits turning up.

Now I don't feel so bad dropping my veefer this morning.
Just as well he wasn't wearing one those headless rider t-shirts.
Ouch, could have been worse.
More importantly, were any UKRM spangly stickers lost?
But what about his tail pack?
Although I'm not an expert on such matters I think that at least one
Bungee Rope is required for such items.

Cane didn't take up my offer of the spare pants I brought with me. I
assume this is because they're not crotchless and cover up the bottom
area. I did pass him shopping earlier and he had a selection of boxes
so hopefully he'll be out of his shorts and flip-flops. His trousers
aren't suitable as he weed himself in the night and discovered it when
he awoke this morning in the floor. But in his defense he is getting
a bit old so it's only to be expected.
Classic. And on the first night too.
