Moving to Denver

I have a '93 KX250 and a '97 YZ250. I will be moving to Denver shortly
from Austin, Tx. I am expecting to have to re-jet both of the bikes due
to altitude and humidity or lack of in Denver's case. Can anyone with
similar year model bikes tell me what size jets and needle position
they are running. Any clue on where to start would be most appreciated.
Hey Jeff,

Here's another one for the machine. How often do you relube the Jefficator?
Sounds like an RDR guy. He said "shortly". December/January is the perfect
time for a get aquainted ride in the mountains.

We don't stop riding because we get old, we get old because we stop riding.
From the hill country to the real hill country.

Your going to notice the power drop as well due to the elevation. I
think head mods are common to increase the compression to compensate
for the elevation. Slaven Racing is a good source for stuff like
this. Feets McKinney can probably tell you more as he lives in the
Denver area.

I had a '97 YZ250. When I moved to Nor Cal, I fouled plugs even
thought the bike was running great. The stock needle was slightly too
rich at elevation. I picked up the next leaner needle and ran the
same clip position. No more fouled plugs.
