OT:Hogfather tonight

Is there anyone that can record Hogfather, Sky One tonight & tomorrow, and
send out a DVD (or put DiVX on FTP site)?

It's going to be on uknova... Of course if you're not a member then this
info won't help.

Especially as they're fully subscribed (30,000 members)

They always are. Just keep hitting 'refresh' for about 20 minutes and you
should get lucky....

But if no-one else can do it, I should be able to knock out a DVD of the ukn
download at some point after Monday.

As long as it meets the UK, not on DVD etc etc etc rules *and* someone is
willing to cap it they'll carry anything. With most satellite stuff the
audience is so small it doesn't get capped, but things like Hogfather do.
Although it is slightly bending the rules as, normally, it's only allowed
from free-to-air channels and I thought you needed to buy something from Sky
to be able to get Sky 1...

I spoke to Statto last night, and he says he intends to build a ukrm
torrent server over Christmas. Once that is up, we'll have somewhere
that those of us with PVRs can upload stuff too, and everyone else can
download from.

Speaking of which, it's on there now. With loads of seeders, so I'm
downloading it very, very quickly.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was downloading from another torrent but
uknova is much quicker.

The series 2 uknova isn't as fast and rusts quicker.

Question time: I have a DVR (DishNetwork). It has a USP port (the flat
stylee). I've only seen the flat to kinda square type cables.
What's it take to get a program I recorded off the think to the Mac?

I can see seeding being a real problem, as there aren't enough people on
here to reach the kind of critical mass needed to support a torrent
network.
Naysaying notwithstanding, I shall watch with interest.
