ot: paging Paul Corfield

November last year, I posted a story about a bloke who got his laptop
bag stuck in a tube out of Liverpool St, and you mentioned you had
contacted the authorities there about it - did you ever hear anything
back?
Yes I did - I had to dig out the reply hence the delay.

In summary bloke spoke to platform staff. Computer bag found at the
tunnel mouth and retrieved and returned to the owner. He went away happy
and uninjured.
Interesting. I wonder if the laptop booted up OK when he tried it
later.

The CCTV evidence was reviewed but did not show anything unusual about
this event. This is perhaps not surprising given how incredibly busy
that station is at that time of day. A formal report about the incident
"heaving" doesn't cover it. I have noticed an increase in the times
when they hold people in the ticket hall to avoid overcrowding the
platforms.

has been created. I expect that sweller's comments in the original
thread are confirmed by what I've reported - i.e. CCTV cannot capture
everything that happens in such crowded conditions.

The Line General Manager asked for the checks to be made as a result of
my sharing your post.
OK, thanks.
