Tourist Trophy on the playstation
Just bought Horse Tourist Trophy for the PS2 (£20 in Game at the mo).
My copy arrived today and I swear I have low-sided more in the past hour
than I normally do in a *week*.
So far it seems like a pretty good game, but very similar to GT4. It would
have been nice to have a few extra tracks in.
That said I did enjoy doing a lap of the 'Ring on a Factory RSV
I got my copy yesterday as well, not that impressed, wishing I'd bought
MotoGP3 now. I'll stick with it a bit, and will definitely give the ring
I played a bit more when I got back from the pub last night[1] and I've
started to get more into it.
I like the idea that if you want a particular bike you just select that
model and do the challange to win it. I tried and tried and tried to win an
RSV, but I just can't do it. Getting the ZX-6R was fairly easy though, but
the 10R is proving harder.
Footnote thief?
[1] They're not lying when they say you're not safe to ride after 6 pints,
y'know.
It takes a video game to get that across? [1]
Heh, I'm not sure I'd get it, myself.
[1] Wish I had a PS2 to play the game myself...
I had a quick go on the challenge, but quickly realised that I was on a
250 scooter, while the opposition was on a TZR... Flipped to arcade mode
and had a couple of goes before I ran out of time, annoying that there
is a max of 4 opposition.
a try.
I've had the same thoughts to be honest. I'm no riding god but it seems
too easy for me and unrealistic. It's a laugh trying out the different
bikes and tracks but I too wish I'd bought MotoGP3, I had the original
and thought it was cracking.
Mind you I won an MV Augusta tonight so I'm sure I'll be playing again
Agusta - it's AGUSTA - FFS!
A-G-U-S-T-A - ONLY ONE 'U'
Sorreeeeeeeeee! It's a golf thing.
MVs are based on a Golf floorpan? Well I never.
If you stay like that can I have your bike, mister?
Sorry, it seems to have just exploded.
tomorrow.
Worth it just so I can dress in nylon jacket and jeans and race a 250LC
against a 250 Gamma round Leguna Seca.
It's a harder game to master than TT superbikes. I can actually win
races on that game but Tourist Trophy sees me crashing all over the
shop. No prizes for guessing which is most realistic then.
Any idea how it compares to MotoGP4? I'm pretty sure I'd fall off a
real GP bike less often than I do in that.
Well quite.
Once, I expect.
Of course, stoppieing a 10R into every corner and wheelieing out is fun
too. I may be a minute of so off of the pace, but points for artistic
I can confirm that it is.
Actually, I exaggerated for comic effect, as usual
Although, so far, wheelies aren't much of a problem.
Saying that "Wheelies aren't much of a problem on a ZX10R" is a bit
like saying "Whinging Courier enjoys an occassional one off the
wrist".
True.
It was more a comment on my commute, which on the bike is not only half
the duration but a quarter as horizontal.
impression must count for something. Especially with the cornering style
set to foot-out stylee :-)
I thought about it, but I've got GT4 and it looked like all the same
tracks but with different vehicles. How similar is it?
I've seen a review that summed it up in exactly that way, which put me
off buying it for a while.
Now it's come down to the 20 quid mark, I'm feeling more tempted, but it
can wait until after I've been on holiday.
I don't know.
I've not got GT4
If they did this for the PSP, I'd get it tomorrow. :)
