twisted forks?

After dropping and repairing the R1
I have noticed the top yolk is slightly pointing
to the right when riding in a straight line.
(bike was dropped on the right side)

Not having a method of taking the full weight off the front
I systematically undid the bottom yolk, gave the wheel a bit of a twist
between my legs while holding the bars, and re--fastened, then did the same
with the top yolk
It appears a lot better now. I'd say hardly noticable
thats its out.
Question is, should I have this looked at properly, or can I assume its safe
?
This is not an unusual situation, and the usual cure is to loosen
either the top or the bottom yoke pair of fork leg clamps, and
enthusiastically bounce the front suspension up and down with the bike
vertical to re-align the legs in the yokes, before re-tightening the
clamps.
Or do what I did with the Bandit and find a suitable concrete bollard to
whack the wheel against from left lock to right lock. That sorted it
nicely.

That's all most places will do unless they suspect that the fork legs
themselves have been damaged.
