Put a Car Tyre On it, they are brilliant?

Car tyre on a bike.
very interesting to see it.
from the sound of it, they didnt use a harley based chopper :-)

it was common practise on 80s choppers when you wanted a wide rear
tire, and some chopper riders still use them...
in fact, one of my clubmates is buldling a chop with a 225/50-15 car
tire at the moment.
No wonder he doesn't like taking corners/bends if that's what he sticks on
the back of his bike!
Sounds like a Goldwing, but, I only see 1 exhaust.
No, really?

What gave it away?

I have been tempted to use a car tyre (they can last 20-30,000 miles).
After watching the video I will never use a car tyre.
I can't believe you're really this thick.
they used them on choppers cause nobody made biketires wider than 150.
and nowadays they use them to create a retro-look to the 80s

its all bout form, not bout function really... most of those choppers
wont do 20000 miles during their whole life.
Or lean over more than a few degrees.
I would imagine you would have problems with the MOT man, the plod, the
insurance company etc. Plus it would make your bike handle like squirty
poo.
