And me getting ready to buy Michelin's for the V-Strom. I think I'll
wait.
I put Bridgestone BT020's on mine, seem to work well.
I had them on the SV. However they don't do well in the dirt.
Well no, but neither does a Vstrom really, does it?
I've only been on fire roads, but it works well for me.
Great bikes.
I've got a Powercommander and Akro's on mine (and taken the secondary
butterflies out) and it has transformed the thing. Goodridge brake hoses
too. And an Ohlins back shock with progressive springs up front.
Ye can rip round the twisties on one of these, they are not slow. :-)

What, *again*?

Sorry Sir.
ginge
Oh, dear.

Anyway, since when did you have a 120/70x17 front wheel?
I don't, but where there's one defect there's more.

Get the Distanzias, YKIMS.
Do you have them on your BMW?
Yes. They have been very good. From cold, wet British weather to 35C in
Italy, and all sorts inbetween. Can't remember the mileage when fitted but
they seem to be more durable than Tourance.
Well okay. I'll give them a go. We're doing as trip to Washington in
august so it should be a good test.
Goes to show what happens when Andy Bonwick prefers a tyre to Avon
Azaros.
I don't think you'll find a Pilot Power on the front of my bike.

The more discerning rider goes for a Michelin Sport Cup on the front
because they're soft compound all the way around, not having that
nasty hard compound in the centre.

I can't remember the last time (if ever) I wore out the centre of a
front tyre. It's always the sides get worn out and the bike ends up
wanting to fall into corners rather than turn.
