Bandit 1200S v R1100RS - an objective comparison

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Does wot it ses on the tin dunnit.

Luckily it was wet this morning & it's got two brand new tyres on so I'm
taking it easy.

There are two major differences between my R1100RS and the Bandit 1200S:

1) The bandit appears to have the engine braking circuit connected the
wrong way round

2) There was a funny noise the first few times I opened the throttle
more then 1/8 of the way. On slowing down the replay, it turnes out to
be a small voice going "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek".

I haven't ridden anything Japanese apart from two customs for about five
years, and it's at least 10 since I had my GPX750.

The nice legal people have given me a 2006 Bandit 1200S to tide me over
whilst my bike heals. I reckon if this morning had been dry and I'd had
ungreased tyres on the bike I'd have lost my licence on the way in to work.

Oh, and it needs a bigger fairing. I now know why I regularly pass a
bloke on a Bandit on my way into work. My slippers got a bit wet too.
It's been said before - Bandit 1200s should be available on the NHS.
