Bindit 6 - Rear Tyre Size?
|
What size rear tyre does a Bindit 6 take?
|
Early models take a 150/70x17, K models and GSF650s take a 160/60x17.
|
Cool thanks. I guess they use a 4.5J rear then, so you
could put a 160/60 on it anyway?
|
I could ask Tori to go check the markings on her rear wheel to see if it
has the same width of rim as mine. Hers is an '05 model 650 which takes
a 160/60, mine's an early 600 with a 150/70.
|
I've fitted both 150/70 - 110/70 and 160/60 - 120/60, and as handling
goes, I preferred the 150/70 - 110/70 combination. I think the rim size
is the same on both older and newer models though.

A mate has bought one and I have loads of part-worn
Pirelli Diablos laying about that have plenty of tread
left in the centre. I said I'd find out if they would fit
and he could have them if they did.

What size fronts do you have? Putting the wrong one on a B6 really
upsets the handling from what I hear. My Bandit has a 110/70, Tori's has
a 120/70. It all depends on the model of B6.
|
Apparently they are ok in any size as long as you run them at 12psi

We played with both 120/60 and 120/70 but to be honest
I prefer the feel of the 120/60 at the moment. I have been
running the 120/60 right to the edge, hence the change to
the 120/70 to gain more lean angle, but we've yet to fiddle
with suspension settings (as the bike feels a bit lazy at the
moment) so this may change in due course.
I don't know what model it is, or the reg, but it is blue ;-)
