I've just had two new tyres (1) fitted to the bike and I can't make up
|
I haven't changed my tyres, I don't know what they are....and on I'll pop
into my little garage......190/55's. The tyres seem quite good to me, they
are sticky when warm and informative when wet. They are looking a bit worn
though.
|
my mind as to whether I should go and scrub them in now or leave it
until Easter when I'll have forgotten that they're new and just give
it the obligatory 5 miles and they're warm treatment. I know that if I
go out now I'll be tip toeing around and won't get it anywhere near
the edge of the tyre so it'll be pointless but it will at least give
them a heat cycle.

Yep, seemed OK on Sunday for my first proper 'summer bike' outing of
the year on Sunday. The salt residue which still affects most of the
roads in Derbyshire makes me nervous though.

(1) Michelin Pilot Power 2CT (2) on the back and Michelin Pilot Sport
Cup on the front. Who needs dual compound tyres on the front ffs?
(2) I'm ruining that bike. First I fit heated grips and now it's dual
compound tyres. It's just another sports-tourer now.

Leave my girlfriend out of this.
