Front Wheel Wobble

When riding hands free after a short distance the front wheeel starts to
wobble so much so that I have to take hold again. I can't feel any wobble
when holding the handle bars.

Does anyone know what might be causing this to happen?
I wondered about this too on my Divvy - never had any trouble on my R6. I
didn't have it long enough to see if changing the tyres made any difference,
although I suspect it was just wheel balancing.
Bet it's at about 40mph.
It is actually. So I guess you know whats the cause of it?
It might be the weight of all the unsnipped sigs that you're carrying
about.
Do you have luggage? Could be that. Worn tyres? Or, are you using Avons?

Used to happen on my blackbird, even when tyres were new and i had no
luggage on it. Never found a cure other than not to let go of the bars.
Every bike I've owned has done the same. I read an article about frames
and steering angles etc a while back that mentioned that each bike has a
natural frequency when they wobble. Typically it's most noticeable at 40
Bit like an outfit really - barring the latter velocity naturally.

and 160 mph.

I can't be arsed to find the source, but as long as your tyres are ok
and your head races are ok, then I wouldn't worry about it, and try not
to let go between about 34 and 45, or between 150 and 170.
Can't say I have ever noticed it at 40.
If you let go of them for too long the world will end.
For the OP at least.
You letting go of the bars.
I find this happens on my Faired 1200 Bandit, never a prob on my old un-
faired 600. Do you ride a bandit? There was a longish discussion about
this subject on the Bandit Owners Club forum a few months back, it seems
that most faired Bandits exhibit this behavior. Dunno why 'though, I
find that if you ride too far with no hands on the 'bars you eventually
tall off, so perhaps the shaking is an indication to hold the bars again.
You need a fairing bracket that is slightly twisted towards the left
side then, mine doesn't wobble at any speed.
I'd say letting go of the bars is the main cause - and easily
rectified.
I think that you must be using the wrong gear, try
top, with more throttle too.
I think you're replying to the wrong person. My bars don't wobble.
And more throttle with hands free really isn't an option.
I think you're replying to the wrong person. My throttle is always
WFO.
