I just removed the tank pad (protector) from the motorcycle because I
don't want to have one anymore. Unfortunately the glue has colored the

remaining glue and the tank is very smooth to touch right now. How can
I remove this very light yellow shade from the tank? I already tried
soap, water, alkohol and polish - nothing helps.

There's a wonderful thing called a Magic Eraser Sponge, sold by Lakeland.
Also sold by jml, and under the Flash name. It's worth trying; I got marks

Thanks in advance, Lucas

Dunno, tried T-cut?
It cleans enamel barths really well....

Sure all the adhesive is off. Sticky label remover is worth a try and if
all else fails lighter fuel (liquid !). Does sound as if it is more of a
permanent chemical change though.
