FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Rick Lisko hunts deer with a bow but got his most
unusual one driving his truck down his mile-long driveway. The young
buck had nub antlers — and seven legs. Lisko said it also had both

Part of owning rats...2-3 years and then you cry.
Oddly enough Ebenezer (Eb) is doing just spiffy.
Two new boys Oreo and Junior.
|
I din't realise they are that short lived, may they rest in
peace. It was just that I noticed the rats are no longer a
part of your sig. I see the fold continues ....
How's the Alpacas?
|
|
Yup, my wife hated the idea of having rats, then 3 years later she
held them, crying as they died.
|
My wife is against pets. Neighbor gave her a free aquarium
and 4 turtles, prior to leaving. Go figure.
I din't realise how those little quarter size turtles could
grow to 7 inches long.
|
Have you sourced a vet yet?
|
No, so far they have been healthy. My wife being a farmer's
daughter knows the value of life. If they cost, it is time
to put them under.
|
|
I call them Leonardo, Rafael, Donatello, Michael Angelo.
|
ever notice how the comic book turtles have
personalities like REAL turtles? Personally I've
never trusted turtles.
|
True. The Reeves turtle is a bully and independent. He is Rafael.
Two of the Red Eared Sliders appear to be female, are larger with a brown
spot at the ears instead of red. The 4th appears to be male, it has red
and is about 2/3rds the size of the others and same size as the Reeves.
When they see me come near the tank, they are expecting me to feed them.
They will slowly slide off the rock back into the water, much like an
alligator awaiting a meal.
Their favorite food is small bits of chicken or fish. They can actually
smell food underwater. With those, they have no waste in time going for.

Cute. :-)
|
True, except she did not realise how much work it is to clean the turtle
tank. They are living in a 10 gallon one, now it is starting to get small.
The previous owners bought them for their 2 boys. It appears they did no
research on turtles prior to buying. They had 2, then bought 2 more
thinking the other two were lonely. They should have stopped at 2. (I
sound like Planned Parenthood. :)

They are as habit forming as M&M's...
|
And cuter.
|
Mine are all males...guys don't call guys "cute"
|
Well, that sorta depends on where you live and who you choose to hang out

male and female reproductive organs. "It was definitely a freak of
nature," Lisko said. "I guess it's a real rarity."

Sounds like something you'd see on The Simpsons.

Any poorly maintained atomic power plants in Wisconsin?

so is it male or female or one of each?
|
The antler would indicate a male.......but with this many deformities
I'd hazard a guess that it was twins merged together? Does the water
taste funny out that way? :)
|
|
Does bring up some strange questions about his hunting licence limits,
doesn't it!
|
Nope... It's either antlered or antlerless... In Montana it isn't legally
"antlered" until they reach four inches in length.
|
I think it's a management issue... This is straight from the '06 season
regs:
Antlered Buck – A deer with an antler or antlers at least four inches in
length as measured from the top of the skull.
Antlerless – A deer without antlers or with antlers less than four inches
in length as measured from the top of the skull.

If it has 8 legs, is it technically even a deer?
