OT: Self mending Morris

So yesteday it started with the fuel guage packing up, then the
temperature guage. Then this morning the windscreen wipers and
indicators wouldn't work.
Then after a few miles, the fuel guage crept back into life, along
with the temp guage and a few miles later the indicators and wipers
were back with us.

Must be a shoddy earth or something....

More like a corroded fusebox.

It's unlikely to be earth as the items you mentioned all have a separate
earth path but they are definitely all on the same supply, a feed from the
ignition switch, which also could be faulty. Assuming it *is* the fuse box
and you can't clean it up, I have a few of those NOS.
