Don't you hate it when your shift light...

...shines brightly in your face screaming "SHIFT UP! SHIFT UP! SHIFT
UP!!!"..but...you...can't...no more gears left to shift up
to....latest personal record: 155mph indicated. =)
See this is why you need an R1!
Reprogram that thing to come on closer to redline. Then you probably won't
ever see it.

But no, I don't hate that light. It makes me happy. It makes my motorcycle
happy. It's more like a hearty "Atta boy!" from the engine than anything
else.
Cure: Black electrician's tape.
But I don't know any black electricians.
That be OK. Cracka tape work jus' fine!
:-)
Well I could also just turn it off...

But...that still doesn't fix the problem of the quickly diminishing
space between the needle and red area on my rpm gauge... =)
Yea, I need to do that to my Ford. The overdrive lockout turns on a bright
green light on the dash that is *very* annoying at night. I really have to
wonder how much testing Ford did with the ergos - my '85 Crown Vic was
perfect. My '97 handles much better, but the ergos suck compared to the
'85 (still much better than most other cars though).
