A spanner in the works?

Here am I with my heart set to get a 10R then I go and get a few bits n'bobs
sorted out on my gixxer.

A new clutch, chain, sprockets, a general tidy up and some nice new oil.
After brisk ride with a few naughty fun things thrown in for good measure it
left me wondering about changing it. Could I really have more fun on a 10R?
Yes, you deserve one[1].

[1] How's that for rationalization?
Sound advice.

Help.

Bikes can be so frustrating.
You've probably just paid for 1/5th of a new 10R with those bits. I'd
wait till they're worn out again and then swap it for a nice shiney new
one. Unless, of course, you can bag a bargain over winter ;-) .
It cost me 380GBP which I thought was quite reasonable. It will save the
dealer sucking through his teeth when I part ex it. I am going to wait a bit
to see if prices come down. There is one with the dealer for 7999 with
Scorpion exhausts etc. If that comes down to 7Kish I'll get it. The
advantages of the newer bikes are they are much lighter and smaller. The
gixxer is quite heavy for me to push around.
There isn't much weight difference shirly? they are both 175kg ish
