Phast Phantoms Phlying in the Phalklands. Some seriously low level
stuff.

I remember, when I were a lad, working on a fuel depot at the start of
a runway at RAF Alconbury. Phantoms just have to be the loudest thing
in the universe[1] on take-off.
[1] Apart from Disaster Area, of course.

I thought I saw a Vampire flying past then, I remember at RAF Little
Rissington one of the ground crew getting sucked into
the intake of one of them. Same year 2 of the Red Arrows had a head on
while practising. In the Gnats then.
For 'loud' I would offer up the English Electric Lighting at take off.
