Sending a package to the USA?

Folks,
I remember there was a discussion here a short time ago about getting stuff
shipped from the USA but can anyone give me advice about sending something
there?
Aust Post airmail is as good a way as any. It's what the missus does and she
sends a fair bit of stuff over there, either via Ebay sales or to family
currently living in NY.

Not cheap, though.

It's about the size of a carton of cigarettes and weighs between 500g and
one kilo.
Thanks ..... Clem
I just had a mate act as an intermediary with a US shop that doesn't
do international shipping. Three CT90 piston kits[1], he sent them
from Chicago on 11 September and they arrived at my local post office
on 19 September. A bit over a week isn't too shabby, in my book.
Cost about USD$15 for the postage[2]
Yep; US to AUS is fast and cheap.
AUS to US is a different story!

BTH
[1] Piston, rings, gudgeon pin and clips for $25 each set.
[2] A total of about AUD$125, which is about the cost of 3 pistons (no
rings, etc.) from the Honda shop.
Clem, I have sent a car manifold across to the US via Oz Post registered and
it got there in three days
a kilo will get you 20 years in US of A
