OT : FOAK French Travellers (But not the french trip).

Heading down to Bargemon for a week at my mates villa on the Sunday before
May BH (6th).

Any recommendations on (cheap but clean) hotels around Boulogne Su Mer for
Sun night ?
Do your self a favour, get off the ferry and put a distance between

yourself and B-sur-merde.

Cheap and clean, use F1 or Premierclasse
also:
group - their Formel1 are horrid. Etap are a bit better. Ibis have a bar
and somethng resembling food.

and finally, last time I wanted an overnight stop in France I used
NOOOOOOOO!

"Hotel Portaloo" as Niall memorably describes them.
TBH, the only F1 I have used is the one near Falkirk, and it was clean,
quiet etc.

I don't really want to head back up North to that v.nice one in Escalles as
recommended in here before.

Monday - the sat nav will no doubt point me at Paris and the periph-er-freak
A16-A6. Is it a Bank Holiday there; and so will it be quiet ?
Ditch the sat nav, and work out a route for your self... much more fun

Or should I stick to my tried and trusted Reims - Troyes - Montbard N71/D980
route back to the A6 ?
Only about 20 miles in it. Reims, Troyes etc are interesting places to stop
if you don't fancy driving [1] the 700 odd miles in one go.

[1] an assumption that you will be in a car but Speedferries don't do bikes
anymore...
