OT - me timing's retarded. . by one hour.

Wotcha.

This has got me scratching my head.

There's a timestamp on the club's "Weekend" page.

This is useful for letting folks know that the info. is more or less up to
date.

Now since the clocks went forwards by one hour, the page refuses to update
the time correctly - it is always one hour behind. To prove a point I've
changed the date and time on the computer clock, and the page shows the date
change, but the time still remains one hour behind. I know this doesn't
really cause that much grief - but it's the fact that I ain't got a clue how
to put it right that's bugging me.

Could anyone possibly point me in the right direction ?
Your server has not had its time reset. Mail the admin for the server,
and tell them they need a kick up the arse.
Why? It certainly looks correct to me, it says that the time right now
is 06.51 GMT, which is spot on. Would you feel happier if it said UTC
instead?

The fault is with the web page - if the server runs GMT all year round
(a reasonable way to set it up) but you want the page to display UK
local time with daylight saving, then the page should be modified to
take into account the fact that it now wants to be GMT+1 and display the
time accordingly.

(That's if it is on mainland UK of course)
Alan.

I'm running Windows XP and using Front Page to edit the club webpages.
