Immortality test passed
unfortunately the bike didn't fare so well.
So what are you going to get?
(GWS, btw)
Ta for that.
I'm hoping it'll be repaired but fairing bits might make that borderline.
The left hand pot did protect my leg from the 3-series which t-boned me
tonight though. Shame it then tried to save itself by using my leg as a
cushion.
My shin is slowly passing the pain baton to my foot in the great relay
race of bruising taking place down my leg.
Ouch! GWS
I've just finished chatting to the appointed personal injury solicitors,
and we both reckon it's "not worth bothering with", although he did
point out that's not the phrase he would be using in his letter.
I'm pleased really as I'm not aligned with the modern "get compensation
for everything" culture.
Whilst I see where you're coming from, wouldn't it be worth pursuing
anyway? This way, if the payout on your bike is less than what you'd
expect, then this would offset it.
In their case "not worth bothering with" meant it would be a claim of
less than around £1000 - he did suggest trying for a few hundred through
the insco rather than their expensive firm of solicitors.
"Get a less pikey injury"

Plenty of witnesses, plod were there just after I gave up arguing with
the lady who insisted I had to sit down and wasn't allowed to take my
helmet off. "I was sat down when he hit me, I'm not giving him another
go" went right over her head.
Ambulance within five minutes, I even got a go on the "I speak your
blood alcohol" machine.
I can now recommend Rukkas and Oxtar boots for low-speed side impacts,
helmet needs replacing unless I can make a good job of making the gouges
look like a flame paint job with my crayons.
Need new boots soon, having crashed once in my Sidi's & they're not
the most waterproof! So may look at those then, if they do them small
enough to fit.
You may with to carry a spare pair of another make for changing into in
the event of high-speed or non-side impacts. Depends on your reaction
times a bit though.

Ouch.
GWS you clumsy clod.
ouch.. GWS
Ta. I'm off hunting for painkillers now - I suspect the cylinder tried
to rip my toes off as I left the bike.
So that's the bike turntable on hold, then
Ouch... I'm glad you're okay though.
Do post photos of what's left of the bike (and car) when you're done.
Not if he dies, the Police might not like that. Maybe if he chopped his
noggin off first they could use the photos for some campaign or other.
Well done for keeping your head.
GWS.
Ya boo for letting a car get you !
