Score?

Got a call yesterday from a customer whom I'd treated several
months ago. At the time, I spotted a couple of go karts under a
tattered old tarp and politely inquired about them. The missus said
they were gonna get rid of them because they had plans for that area
of the yard. I left her my home number.

She called later that evening and said they wanted 100 bucks for
them. I said I'd think about it, but since I didn't get a real good
look at 'em, and since they'd obviously been sitting awhile, AND since
I didn't have $100, I forgot about the entire thing.

So when she called yesterday she told my wife that we could just
have 'em if we'd come and get 'em. Well even I can afford that price,
so today I went over and picked 'em up.

We got:

one go kart with Briggs that supposedly runs and drives
one go kart with Wisconsin Robin engine and cracked frame
one gas-powered edger that needs serious motor work
and one 1984 Honda Z50 missing a seat and looking rough

I never saw the 50 before today, so that was a pleasant surprise.
My 5 year-old has already laid claim to it, so I guess I gotta try to
get the thing running one of these days.

Sounds like a good score! I'd gladly pay you double, maybe even triple your
cost for those items right now ;-)

I'd say a good score. You've gained big time in the piston count. (Someone had a
test to prove one's worthiness by how many pistons they could lay claim to. Had
fun comparing...:)
