Weird bagger argument

Okay, my handful of cash is on the bar for this one...

During a ride stop yesterday I end up standing next to 2 guys who are
arguing about seats on Road Kings and Classics. The first guy is a RK
Same frame, same seat setup on both. All RKs have the same frame and mounts
for the seat. The Road Glide seat *might* be different (not sure if it fits
with the Electra Glides seat tabs).

owner and he's telling the other guy that he's going to put a stock
Classic seat on his RK because he doesn't care for the stock RK seat.
The 2nd guy is telling him that they are not compatible because of
alignment, etc. They end up agreeing to disagree until the RK owner
actually tries it out.
The Road King Classic seat will fit the "non-classic" Road King
but the Classic seat was designed to go with the Classis bags and
will interfere with the opening of the fiberglass bags.

The reason this caught my attention is because I was under the
impression the seats were pretty universal for all the baggers. Being an
'84 Ironhead owner, I haven't had the 'luxury' of trying diff't seats on
baggers.

So after you finish your drink, how about solving the argument for these

RK and RG seats are same attachment and size, RK and RG seats will fit
on an EG but have a big gap missing between seat and dash panel, but you
can buy extensions that fill in that spot nicely.
