Installing New Hardware

I was at a Barn Sale this past weekend, (I'm not sure, but I think
that a "Barn Sale" is the same as a "Yard Sale" and a "Tag Sale"
except that it's held in barn).

There was a lot of motorcycle stuff, most of which I either couldn't
identify or couldn't use.
But-- I picked up a brand spankin' new Gardener-Westcott hardware set
for $15. It includes what looks like most of the socket-head cap
screws for a Primary, cam, and timing cover. All in nice chrome.

So as I get ready to install whatever will fit, I'm wondering if there
any "watch-outs".
Someone told me to be sure to use anti-seize on everything.
Someone else said to be sure to run a tap into all the screw holes,
(this seems likely to eventually leak).

Any helpful input is appreciated!
Unless their quality has improved dramatically expect the chrome to
flake off pretty quickly.
