[OT] Are we at war?
I live under the flightpath to Fairford, & it's got awfully busy up
there over the last hour.
What are they flying from there these days?
B52s was the last I heard.
Interesting fact about the B52: not one of the aircrew that fly them
is as old as the youngest plane.
I like that sort of stuff.
That's the sort of knowledge that can win pub quizzes.
And were they heading north?
Because we /might/ be at war with Scotland.
I don't see a problem with that.
It's simply a matter of calculating how big a nuke you are going to
need to shift the roads 500 - 600 miles south.
And before you ask, I don't do nukes - my "explosives" qualification is
for "Theatrical Pyrotechnics" which is, mainly, to do with blackpowder.
So you must have *fun* at airport checks.
When Mark Williams was making the Big Bangs series for Sky
he kept getting pulled by the explosives detectors...
I mentioned subjugation in another thread, but Ithink I /might/ have
got away with it.
Nuke the porridgewogs and be done with it.
As long as the wind is blowing from the south, naturally..

Air-raid siren was going off about 1 hour ago (County Durham).
I know they sometimes test it, but I've never head for at least 5 years.
