Husqvarna wr250 clutch is very stiff

I just picked up a 1979 Husqvarna wr250, the clutch is very stiff. I pulled
the cover the oil had lots of gas in it but all looked ok. I pulled all the
plates, cleaned, oiled and put back in, its still stiff. the cable seems
good to me and if i push on the clutch lever it seems very stiff to. Any
help would be great.
Does your Husky have the extended pivot arm (where the cable connects
at the cases)? They look "welded" (patched a bit) and are about
1/4"-3/8 inch longer than stock.

Other than that, vintage Husky clutches will give you a Manly grip. It
is a fact of life. The only cure is the addition of a Hebo hydraulic
clutch kit. Magura may make a kit, but I don't know. I know that the
Hebo kit will do the job.

I have an assortment of older Huskys.
I have a Manly grip.

You might get some satisfaction from a different clutch perch with a
different leverage ratio, or an "Easy Pull", but don't go lighter on
the springs. The clutch will slip if you do.

I love the hydraulic clutch on the GasGas bikes.
